- Divide the given series into two parts of odd and even terms.
- First series: 2, 4, 6,8, 10, … .
- Second series: 1, 3,6, 10, … .
- Looking at the analogy of first series, there are all even numbers consecutively. So, next even number will be 12.
- Looking at the analogy of second series, difference between two terms of the series is incremented by one. Like difference between 1 and 3 is 2, difference between 3 and 6 is 3, difference between 6 and 10 is 4. So, difference between next two terms should be 5, i.e.. .
- So, next two terms of the series will be 15 and 12 respectively.
